Great writing isn’t just first-draft magic—it’s revise and refine. This week, students learn a kid-friendly routine to re-read, revise, and edit their work so it’s easy to understand. We’ll practice complete sentences and word choices (L.2.1), fix capitals/punctuation (L.2.2), apply spelling patterns, and use a simple ARMS & CUPS checklist to strengthen a short piece (W.2.5).

- Apply capitalization and punctuation (beginnings, proper nouns, end marks, commas in greetings/closings, apostrophes for contractions/possessives); use grade-appropriate spelling patterns and resources (L.2.2).
- With guidance, revise and edit a draft to improve clarity and conventions using a checklist (W.2.5).
