Unit Plan 31 (Grade K ELA): Shared Research Project
Kindergarten research unit: students plan wonder questions, gather information from books and teacher-guided web pages, take simple picture and label notes, and help create a digital class slide that shares what they learned through collaborative writing and technology.

Total Unit Duration: 5 sessions (one week), 45–60 minutes per session
I. Introduction
This week students participate in a shared research project. As a class (and in small groups), they will plan wonder questions, gather information from books and teacher-curated web pages, and take simple notes using pictures, labels, and dictated words. With guidance, they will help produce a class page/slide that teaches others about the topic.
