Focus: First/then/next/finally; add who/where
Grade Level: Kindergarten
Subject Area: English Language Arts (Writing • Language • Speaking/Listening)
Total Unit Duration: 5 sessions (one week), 45–60 minutes per session
I. Introduction
Writers will plan and draft tiny narratives about a real event using temporal words—first, then, next, finally—and adding the key details who and where. Students will say it → sketch it → write/dictate it, building complete sentences and using familiar vocabulary to make their stories clear and sequenced.
