I. Introduction

Writers will plan and draft tiny narratives about a real event using temporal wordsfirst, then, next, finally—and adding the key details who and where. Students will say it → sketch it → write/dictate it, building complete sentences and using familiar vocabulary to make their stories clear and sequenced.


II. Objectives and Standards

Learning Objectives — Students will be able to…

  1. Narrate a single event (or short sequence) using temporal words to show order (W.K.3).
  2. Add who and where details to clarify the situation (W.K.3; L.K.6).
  3. Produce/expand complete sentences when speaking and writing (L.K.1f).
  4. Use learned words/phrases to describe actions, settings, and feelings (L.K.6).
