I. Introduction

Students explore what it means to share music with others in a safe, supportive classroom setting. Through familiar songs, simple movements, and turn-taking performances, they practice being both performers and audience members. Students learn to follow basic performance routines (where to stand, when to start and stop), show expression with their voices and bodies, and clap respectfully to celebrate each other’s efforts.

  • How can I show that I am a good performer and a kind audience member?
  • How can my face, voice, and body show the feeling of the music?

Learning Objectives — Students will be able to:
