Total Unit Duration: 2 core sessions + 2 optional sessions (1–2 weeks), 20–30 minutes per session
I. Introduction
Students continue building Kindergarten PE confidence by learning that their own preferences matter in movement and play. At this age, students are beginning to notice which activities feel the most exciting, active, silly, or satisfying, and PE can help them put simple words to those preferences. This unit uses a choice-based locomotor warm-up and then moves into class-voted favorite activities such as tag games, obstacle courses, ball-skill games, dance activities, or other familiar lessons from earlier in the year. The goal is to help students enjoy movement, participate positively, and begin sharing simple reasons for why they like certain activities most.
