I. Introduction

Students continue building Kindergarten PE confidence by learning that movement can be expressive, musical, and fun. In rhythm and dance lessons, students practice following a beat, moving different body parts, freezing on cue, and joining in with energy and joy. This unit uses clap and step to rhythm as a warm-up and then moves into playful follow-along dance routines that feel active, silly, and exciting for young learners. The goal is to help students enjoy movement, participate with enthusiasm, and feel comfortable expressing themselves through rhythm and dance.
