Unit Plan 18 (Grade PreK ELA): Sharing Findings Clearly
PreK presentation and publishing unit: students practice speaking clearly with visuals—creating simple posters or slides to share one fact from class research. They learn polite audience behaviors, use sentence frames, and build early confidence as public speakers.

Focus: Speaking with visuals; simple slides/posters; polite listening
Grade Level: PreK
Subject Area: English Language Arts (Presenting • Visual Supports • Early Publishing)
Total Unit Duration: 5 sessions (one week), 30–45 minutes per session (use two short blocks if needed)
I. Introduction
Building on last week’s mini-research, children learn to share findings clearly. They plan a short talk, add a visual (drawing, photo, label, prop, or simple teacher-made slide), and practice speaking audibly with a friendly audience routine. We center one strong fact, a clear sentence, and a helpful visual.
