Grade Level: PreK
Subject Area: Physical Education (Object Control • Ball Skills Review • Enjoyment of Play)
Total Unit Duration: 2 core sessions + 2 optional sessions (1–2 weeks), 20–30 minutes per session
I. Introduction
PreK students continue building movement confidence by revisiting important ball skills they have already explored during the year. At this age, children benefit from repeated practice with familiar equipment and games that feel fun, active, and manageable. This unit uses dribbling and rolling review as the warm-up and then moves into ball skill stations where children roll, toss, and kick in short, playful rounds. The goal is to help children strengthen beginning object-control skills while also showing joy, confidence, and excitement during active play.
