Total Unit Duration: 2 core sessions + 2 optional sessions (1–2 weeks), 20–30 minutes per session
I. Introduction
PreK students continue building movement confidence by revisiting important skills they have practiced throughout the year. At this age, children benefit from repeated chances to use familiar movements in joyful, success-friendly activities that help them feel proud of what their bodies can do. This unit uses a review of movements learned during the year as the warm-up and then moves into stations featuring running, jumping, kicking, and throwing. The goal is to help children strengthen confidence with both locomotor and object-control skills while participating safely and happily in active play.
