I. Introduction
PreK students continue building movement confidence by revisiting favorite locomotor games they have already explored during the first part of the year. At this age, children benefit from repetition, familiar routines, and playful games that help them feel successful with important movement patterns. This unit uses follow-the-leader movements as the warm-up and then moves into a rotation of favorite locomotor games that bring back fun experiences like jumping paths, animal movement, start-and-stop games, and safe-space movement. The goal is to help children feel proud of their growing locomotor skills while also showing joy, excitement, and confidence during active play.
