I. Introduction

PreK students continue building movement confidence by beginning to use equipment in simple, playful ways. Rolling is often one of the best first object-control skills for young children because it stays low to the ground, feels manageable, and helps children practice direction, force, and partner awareness. This unit uses arm circles and rolling imaginary balls as the warm-up and then moves into partner rolling using playground balls, where children gently roll a ball back and forth in shared space. The goal is to introduce object control in a way that feels safe, fun, and successful while helping children learn how to use hands and eyes together.
