I. Introduction
Writers teach their readers! This week students learn to craft a clear all-about paragraph with a topic sentence, fact/definition sentences, and a closure that wraps the idea. With guidance, they’ll plan, draft, revise, and edit for conventions so their informational writing is accurate, organized, and easy to read.

- Plan and write an informative/explanatory paragraph that introduces a topic, supplies facts/definitions, and provides a concluding statement (W.2.2).

- Use complete sentences and correct end marks; capitalize sentence beginnings and proper nouns (L.2.2).
